Haymount Family Dentistry, Fayetteville, NC, Patient Information
Thank you for your interest in Haymount Family Dentistry, where Dr. Taylor and his staff strive to provide the best techniques in modern dentistry in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. This page will give an overview of our Policies and Practices. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
New Dental Patient Appointments
Appointment One: Comprehensive Examination
The purpose of this visit is to gather the patient information necessary to provide you with the best dental care possible. We will take any needed X-rays, perform a clinical exam, and gather pertinent history. Dr. Taylor will also discuss your needs, desires and concerns in order to develop the best treatment plan for you. Please ask lots of questions! We want to ensure that you fully understand your treatment as well as your options.
Appointment Two: Hygiene
Your second appointment will be with one of our Fayetteville dental hygienists for cleaning and can usually be scheduled at the same visit as your initial exam (for patients who are transferring from another practice). Patients who have extensive treatment needs or who are behind in cleaning will have this appointment scheduled after their initial exam. Please feel free to discuss this with our staff when you make your initial appointment. We also understand that complex dental procedures can be frightening and that you may want a second opinion. If that is the case, we will gladly provide a second opinion at very little cost to you, the patient.
Insurance & Financing
Haymount Family Dentistry is happy to accept and file all dental insurance. As a service to our patients, we also accept the assignment of payment for plans that allow this, meaning that the insurance company will pay us directly. Any portion not covered, including copayments and deductibles, is the patient’s responsibility, and payment is expected at the time of service.
We are happy to assist our patients in determining their coverage limits and responsibilities.
For your convenience, Haymount Family Dentistry accepts cash, personal checks, Visa and MasterCard. Payment plans are available through CareCredit.
Military Dependents & TRICARE
Haymount Family Dentistry has been honored to provide care for our military service members and their dependents since the start of the TRICARE Dental program more than 20 years ago. During most of this time, we have been a participating provider. At this current stage, however, we have not been able to reach an agreement with MetLife Insurance to continue as a participating provider. We are happy to accept and file your TRICARE insurance for you, and we offer a military discount to ensure that our patients incur no additional expense.
Cancelled & Missed Appointments
Due to our unique policy of scheduling our patients one at a time with no overlapping appointments, we ask that you give us as much notice as possible if you must cancel or reschedule your appointment. Appointments canceled with less than 24-hour notice and missed appointments are subject to a $75 fee.
Haymount Family Dentistry proudly provides dental services to military and civilian families in the Fayetteville, NC, area and beyond.
Safety
Our community has been through a lot over the last few years, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice, and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are designed so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example, Our office may communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office. Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time. We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at (910) 484-2166. Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back.
Thank you,
Dr. James H. Taylor
