Our Established & Modern Fayetteville, NC Dental Practice
At Haymount Family Dentistry, our Fayetteville, NC, dental professionals abide by the motto of “modern dentistry with traditional care”. This stance represents our commitment to providing our patients with the best up-to-date dental care available through top-quality materials and supplies that ensure that our work lives up to the highest standards.
Our Fayetteville dental practice also strives to provide personalized, one-on-one care. We schedule and see one patient only at each appointment time and avoid double-booking our care providers. That means that when you visit our office, you will have the full and undivided attention of our staff.
At Haymount Family Dentistry, a patient will quickly notice the loyalty and stability of our staff. Our Fayetteville dental team has more than 75 years of combined experience in this practice, and our patients enjoy the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with their care providers.
Haymount Family Dentistry: A One-of-a-Kind Dental Office
Our office has a unique setting in a 100-year-old colonial-style home, which creates a relaxing and soothing atmosphere. Our waiting room is a large parlor that includes a beautiful fireplace and plenty of large windows, providing a warm and comfortable environment. The foyer, front hall, and waiting areas also have unusual, one-inch hardwood floors, along with nine-foot ceilings and elaborate crown moldings.
Mr. W. W. Horne built the house in 1917, and it remained in the Horne family until Dr. Clarence Olive purchased it in the early 1960s to use as a dental office. Dr. Taylor became the third generation of dentists when he took over the Fayetteville dental practice in 1991, following in the footsteps of Dr. Clarence Olive and his father, Dr. Robert Olive.
In 2005, Haymount Family Dentistry undertook a major renovation of the building’s interior and equipment. The floor plan was modified to greatly improve traffic flow and add separate rooms for sterilization and X-rays. All of our operators were completely renewed with new aseptic cabinets, patient chairs, and equipment. We recently completed an exterior renovation, which has the office looking its very best once again! Our plans for the future include a project for a new parking lot directly behind the building with improved handicap access and a redevelopment of the back part of the property.

Dr. James Taylor
I am Dr. James Taylor, a Fayetteville native and second-generation dentist, following in the footsteps of my father, Dr. Robert Taylor. After graduating from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry at Chapel Hill in 1991, I returned home and went into practice with Dr. Clarence Olive.
For the past 30 years, I have truly loved working with my patients and staff here at Haymount Family Dentistry. I take great pleasure in helping my patients with both their dental health and the appearance of their teeth. Nothing makes my day more enjoyable than seeing a beautiful smile from a happy patient!
It is a blessing to be married to my wife of 29 years, Ashley, and we stay busy raising our two daughters, Hannah and Grace. When away from the office, my family enjoys several hobbies, including sailing and skeet shooting.
Dr. Taylor is also a member of several professional and social associations, including the Greater Fayetteville Dental Society, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the American Dental Society, as well as the Exchange Club and the Piedmont Aeromodelers.
